Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement measures to increase Fleet Response efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Partner with Waymo teams to identify opportunities to redistribute operational workload.
- Research and generate ideas for optimizing operator workflows.
- Work with onboard engineering teams to eliminate unnecessary operational work.
- Contribute to cross-functional analysis and optimization efforts.
- Improve regression detection and culprit-finding for changes that negatively affect operational metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- 5+ years of industry experience navigating complex systems with distributed ownership.
- Experience with C++ or a related structured programming language.
- Ability to investigate new problems and codebases with a bias toward action.
- Experience working with non-technical cross-functional partners.
