Base Salary
$180k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architectural direction for high-volume, compliance-sensitive Move Money services.
- Design distributed, scalable, event-driven, highly available services across AWS, GCP, and PCF.
- Define target-state architectures, Software Architecture Documents, reference implementations, and technology roadmaps.
- Lead architecture for secure transfers, orchestration, customization, and throughput optimization.
- Improve transactional integrity, data consistency, auditability, fraud-prevention integration, security, scalability, latency, resiliency, and performance.
- Establish monitoring, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, production-readiness practices, and operational excellence for 24x7 systems.
- Mentor engineers and establish architectural patterns, guardrails, and design-review practices.
- Evaluate frameworks, languages, messaging patterns, storage models, and pragmatic AI/ML accelerators.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, risk, cybersecurity, and operations teams and communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Spring Boot RESTful services.
- Architectural design experience with AWS and GCP; PCF and Terraform experience are a plus.
- Understanding of Google Cloud Platform fundamentals, including Compute, Storage, and IAM, and multi-cloud architecture.
- Advanced relational data modeling, performance tuning, and transactional semantics expertise.
- Messaging and integration expertise including RabbitMQ, event-driven patterns, idempotency, and retry/backoff strategies.
- Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, secrets management, least privilege, threat modeling, secure APIs, and OWASP.
- Experience with high availability and resiliency engineering, including circuit breakers, bulkheads, chaos readiness, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, or equivalent CI/CD tooling and automated build, test, and deployment flows.
- Experience with observability, including logs, metrics, traces, SLIs/SLOs, and production-readiness checklists.
- Experience delivering mission-critical, client-facing 24x7 systems such as payments, trading, or other high-volume financial transaction systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include AI/ML knowledge, domain-driven design, data streaming, event sourcing, and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Strong strategic influence, executive communication, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
