Base Salary

$219k - $274k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the target-state architecture and technical roadmap for blockchain and digital asset platforms, including platform components, service boundaries, integration patterns, APIs, data models, and operational controls.
  • Design secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems for experimentation, pilots, and production use.
  • Evaluate blockchain protocols, node infrastructure, custody patterns, smart contract frameworks, interoperability models, and blockchain data access strategies.
  • Guide engineering implementation, review designs, resolve technical tradeoffs, and establish reusable platform patterns.
  • Partner with security, risk, legal, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to address enterprise controls, regulatory expectations, and operational resilience.
  • Create architecture documentation, reference models, decision records, design standards, and graduation criteria.
  • Advise technology and executive stakeholders on architecture choices, business value, risks, investment needs, and adoption paths.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform delivery, or complex technology initiatives.
  • Strong foundation in modern architectures, cloud-native development, engineering best practices, enterprise platforms, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven patterns, observability, resiliency, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, distributed ledger technologies, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, smart contracts, tokenization, node operations, custody models, and digital asset transaction flows.
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, encryption, key management, secrets management, secure coding, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response readiness.
  • Ability to guide technical decisions without being the primary implementer and to produce practical architecture artifacts and implementation guidance.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with engineering, architecture, product, risk, legal, compliance, security, business, and senior leadership stakeholders.
