Responsibilities
- Develop large, distributed, and highly available infrastructure.
- Build platform tools that allow feature teams to deploy and manage datastores for their services.
- Research technologies to accelerate new environment creation.
- Carry cross-team initiatives from end to end, including code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, and security hygiene.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
- Improve datastore reliability through standard configurations, performance analysis, and monitoring of latency, throughput, availability, and utilization.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Golang.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience working with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Experience with large-scale data storage systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
- Ability to work on reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure systems.
- Ability to deliver work incrementally, gather feedback, and iterate over solutions.
