Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, validate, deploy, retrain, maintain, and monitor machine learning models and components.
- Develop and test application code, automate testing and deployment, and build software for large-scale ML applications.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data and feature selection, training, tuning, validation, and model governance.
- Build cloud-based architectures, distributed data pipelines, and scalable production ML services.
- Apply production software practices including monitoring, alarms, deployment strategies, incident response planning, and responsible and explainable AI.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional teams to solve business problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, cloud services, and Kubernetes-managed containerized ML systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or doctoral degree, 3+ years optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, building production data pipelines, and applying software development and resilient production practices.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years with supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; common model architectures and evaluation techniques; and 1+ year as a technical lead developing ML solutions.
- Authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept is preferred.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $179,400-$204,700 in Plano, TX and $197,300-$225,100 in McLean, VA.
- The role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including potential cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
