Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving modeling techniques, data, feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams in a cross-functional Agile environment to build big-data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines for ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, and monitoring practices.
- Manage code and models according to security, governance, Responsible AI, and Explainable AI best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray to prepare AI/ML data.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for containerized ML systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or doctoral degree in a related field and experience optimizing ML algorithms, configurations, and infrastructure.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with software development best practices, resilient production deployments, monitoring, incident response planning, ML techniques and architectures, and production-ready ML data pipelines.
- Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year as a technical lead developing ML solutions and authorship or co-authorship of an ML paper, technique, model, or proof of concept.
