Base Salary

$79k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices across control plane, connectivity, distributed-systems data plane, and Linux daemon technologies.
  • Contribute across conceptualization, product definition, design, development, launch, and operational maturity.
  • Deliver features, load and performance tests, automation, infrastructure-as-code, troubleshooting, maintenance, telemetry, dashboards, alarms, runbooks, incident response, and root-cause analyses.
  • Build resilient systems using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, recovery-oriented principles, and synchronization.
  • Automate workflows across development, testing, troubleshooting, operations, and documentation, including appropriate AI-assisted and agentic approaches.
  • Improve reliability, delivery velocity, operational efficiency, customer outcomes, and engineering productivity while reviewing implementations for scalability and sharing effective practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with systems or application development.
  • 3+ years of experience with distributed systems or backend development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
  • Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, including CAP theorem, consensus, messaging, and high availability.
  • Willingness to learn and responsibly apply AI/LLM tools, skills, and automation to improve engineering workflows.
