Base Salary
$125k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Architect and build efficient, reliable, and maintainable back-end systems.
- Develop tooling and core software for calibration, protocol development, experimentation, and automation of quantum processor operations.
- Write documented code, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
- Mentor and guide junior quantum software engineers.
Requirements
- BS or higher in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong Python experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging with profilers and other tools.
- Experience in scientific computing, data analytics, quantum physics, or quantum computing.
- Competence with Git version control.
- Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills.
