Responsibilities
- Migrate existing ML training code from experimental or proof-of-concept stages into robust, automated pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain continuous-training workflows for data preparation, model training, and batch scoring.
- Package and deploy traditional ML models, including ONNX models, to Vespa and/or Triton serving infrastructure.
- Automate model deployments, including integrations between Vertex AI training pipelines, webhooks, and GitHub Actions.
- Build automated model quality and evaluation gates.
- Own and continuously improve standards, quality, and governance across the complete ML model lifecycle.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in GCP/Vertex AI or equivalent platforms such as SageMaker.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proven experience building robust CI/CD and automation pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of ML training, evaluation, and inference sufficient to debug pipelines and create meaningful quality gates.
- A builder and automator with a strong service mindset and the ability to bridge Data Science and Infrastructure teams.
- Familiarity with Vespa, NVIDIA Triton, or ONNX is a bonus.
- Strong communication, pragmatism, big-picture thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
