Responsibilities
- Write, debug, and publish reusable Terraform modules for Linux and cloud infrastructure.
- Design and own CI/CD workflows, policy checks, tests, approval gates, and guardrails in GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling.
- Build and operate Kubernetes clusters in cloud and on-premises environments, including k3s, Helm, Argo, CNI, and distributed systems such as Kafka.
- Provision and operate GCP, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud resources through Infrastructure as Code.
- Operate and automate Linux infrastructure across virtual machines, bare metal, and workstations using Foreman, Puppet, Ansible, and AWX.
- Build internal automation and tooling in Python or Go using test-driven development.
- Participate in a global 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering.
- Strong Terraform experience, including developing, debugging, and publishing reusable modules.
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, including guardrails, policy checks, and approval gates.
- Production Kubernetes experience across workloads, CNI, Helm, and Argo; self-managed or bare-metal cluster experience is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience provisioning and operating GCP or AWS through Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, including production debugging of processes, networking, storage, systemd, logs, and kernel versus user space.
- Proficiency in Python or Go and demonstrable test-driven development experience.
- Direct production on-call and incident-response experience.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience spanning both Linux or systems engineering and cloud or platform engineering is preferred.
- Experience with GCP, Kafka, Puppet, Ansible, AWX, Foreman, bare-metal infrastructure, datacenter operations, VMware, Proxmox, routing, load balancing, BGP, multicast, or financial and trading environments is beneficial.
- Dutch is useful but not required.
