Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and scale high-concurrency bidding and listing systems supporting 9-figure annual GMV.
- Develop AI-powered features for instant valuations and upfront liquidity for consignors and sellers.
- Build personalized discovery experiences using data and machine learning.
- Design and launch management tools for power sellers and experienced hobbyists.
- Build end-to-end auction experiences from low-latency backend logic to responsive real-time UIs.
- Mentor the team and set standards for code quality, system reliability, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling complex applications.
- Experience with Python, Postgres, and AWS or cloud infrastructure.
- Deep experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience building high-performance, real-time user interfaces.
- Experience with personalization engines, recommendation systems, or AI/ML integrations is a major plus.
- Ability to build reliable systems that perform under high traffic and high-stakes transaction volumes.
- Strong product instincts and ability to work autonomously are expected.
