Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, implement, and evaluate Pega-based enterprise workflow and software applications.
- Analyze, code, test, and implement system changes in coordination with management, associates, and end users.
- Design Pega applications, application frameworks, class structures, Data Transforms, and declarative rules.
- Integrate Pega with enterprise applications using REST APIs, Kafka, JMS, SOAP, and microservices.
- Provide technical support for production systems, address reported issues, anticipate maintenance needs, and support end-user functionality.
- Create technical specifications, application designs, and system, end-user, and operational documentation.
- Estimate development time for new features and assist with implementing system modifications.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for critical production issues.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders, establish technical standards, and mentor development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in software application development and maintenance.
- At least 3 years of in-depth hands-on application development experience with Pega PRPC v6.x/v7.x and Pega banking or insurance frameworks.
- Pega Certified System Architect certification.
- Hands-on experience with Pega AI, including GenAI, Knowledge Buddy, Agentic AI, and AI-powered workflow capabilities.
- Experience with Pega Infinity architecture, Case Management, Decisioning, and BPM.
- Experience integrating Pega with enterprise applications using REST APIs, Kafka, JMS, SOAP, and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, J2EE, XML, and EJB.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies, with familiarity with Waterfall and Agile approaches.
- Ability to debug and develop Pega rules, class structures, and application frameworks and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Preferred experience in banking and finance, Okta, SQL scripting, ServiceNow or another IT ticketing system, and Splunk.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
