Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs for desktop and mobile consumer applications.
- Develop secure, resilient, and cost-efficient infrastructure primarily on AWS.
- Manage, query, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for availability and performance.
- Write Python and Bash automation scripts for deployment, troubleshooting, and tooling.
- Use Databricks or equivalent analytics platforms to monitor traffic, identify data patterns, and detect anomalies and systemic bugs.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, QA/Test Engineers, and Solution Architects on requirements, quality gates, and cloud architecture.
- Contribute to planning and migrating legacy backend components from .NET into AWS, Go, and PostgreSQL.
- Use Claude Code and other AI development agents to write, debug, and iterate on backend systems.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience as a Backend or Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Golang and its toolchain.
- Advanced production experience with AWS and cloud design principles.
- Proven experience designing scalable microservices architectures and RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL relational databases.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation, tooling, and debugging.
- Experience using Databricks or equivalent big data and analytics platforms for observability and platform-health analysis.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Comfort working in Linux-based development environments and understanding of CI/CD and Test-Driven Development practices.
- Experience with Dart and Flutter is preferred.
- Experience with GCP and Couchbase Capella is a plus.
- Familiarity with .NET and C# is highly valued for legacy-code migration.
- Background or interest in cybersecurity and antivirus software data pipelines is a plus.
