Responsibilities
- Collaborate with system analysts, development, and functional QA teams to understand business, product, and system requirements and test scenarios.
- Build, modify, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Review requirements and develop test strategies and test cases for new and existing application features.
- Execute and maintain automated and manual tests for distributed web-based applications.
- Use ALM, Selenium with Java, custom Python frameworks, SoapUI, and other API testing tools.
- Report defects, support bug triage, perform root-cause analysis, and help resolve escalations.
- Provide status updates and assist with release-readiness decisions.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware configuration problems.
- Coordinate test execution, train users, and provide user support.
- Participate in full-lifecycle development and quality processes while helping keep testing efforts on track.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience reviewing product requirements and designs, creating test plans, and testing distributed web-based applications.
- At least 3 years of web-based GUI testing experience for Java/J2EE applications using data-driven test methodologies.
- Experience with Selenium using Java and ALM or similar test-management tools.
- At least 2 years of programming experience in Python or Java.
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environments.
- Experience with test automation tools and automation test execution and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, troubleshooting, communication, organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and complete assignments on time with high quality.
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies is a plus.
