Responsibilities
- Design, develop, scale, and own gameplay systems, tools, pipelines, and backend integrations through release and live operation.
- Build clean, performant, testable code across gameplay, LiveOps tooling, and related systems.
- Improve content pipelines, automate workflows, and develop editor tooling and validations for safe content delivery.
- Investigate live-game incidents, identify root causes, improve monitoring, and reduce repeat failures.
- Prototype new features and use AI, automation, and tooling to improve team workflows and delivery.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, data analysts, and engineers to improve the player experience.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
Requirements
- Strong programming fundamentals in any language and enthusiasm for creating player-facing experiences.
- Experience with or interest in learning Unity and C#.
- Experience with Unity asset bundles or Addressables, asset importing, content pipelines, editor tooling, and validations.
- Familiarity with backend systems, data pipelines, infrastructure, or observability.
- Ability to reason about system scale, evolution, cleanliness, and efficiency; troubleshoot unfamiliar technical problems under pressure; and explain technical decisions to non-technical colleagues.
- Backend experience with game services, APIs, and data stores is a bonus.
- Experience with live-operations configuration, content scheduling, remote configuration, leading technical work across connected systems, or shipping live games is preferred but not required.
