Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that enhance efficiency, software quality, delivery speed, and service reliability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Manage AWS cloud environments and infrastructure using Terraform.
- Operate and support containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Support application platforms and products as part of the Application Support team.
- Manage database schema changes, including with Liquibase.
- Implement automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and DevOps best practices.
- Monitor systems to support reliability and performance.
- Translate stakeholder and business requirements into technical implementations.
- Act as a business subject matter expert and manage, negotiate, and influence stakeholders.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec, and UCD teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience with AWS Cloud.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
- Practical experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Experience with database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and a mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and best-practice definition.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
