Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, OpenShift Virtualization, and OpenShift AI environments.
- Manage cluster health, nodes, networking, storage, monitoring, logging, security, authentication, upgrades, and multi-cluster integrations.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes, OpenShift, workload, networking, authentication, Operator, and infrastructure issues.
- Support Hosted Control Plane environments, including HostedCluster and NodePool lifecycle management.
- Manage OpenShift GitOps with Argo CD, Helm deployments, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Drive DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, access controls, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
- Automate platform operations using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and infrastructure/configuration-as-code practices.
- Manage x86 servers and NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, including installation, upgrades, firmware, monitoring, capacity planning, maintenance, and replacement.
- Monitor and optimize server, storage, networking, and GPU performance and support data center expansion projects.
- Maintain operational standards, runbooks, documentation, and SLA compliance while coordinating with infrastructure vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or enterprise IT environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform in production.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, container technologies, Linux/RHEL, cloud-native infrastructure, platform operations, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, automation, and capacity planning.
- Experience with enterprise DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD, and service management practices.
- Hands-on experience supporting x86 servers and NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.
- Understanding of AI/ML workloads and concepts including model serving, inferencing, MIG, and RAG.
- Expertise with OpenShift Container Platform, OpenShift Virtualization, OpenShift AI, OpenShift GitOps/Argo CD, NVIDIA GPU Operator, GPU-accelerated workloads, OpenShift Networking, RBAC, Storage, Linux/RHEL, and bare-metal server and storage operations.
- Nice-to-have experience with HyperShift, OpenShift Service Mesh/Istio, KubeVirt, DevSecOps, AI Security, disconnected/private OpenShift environments, private cloud platforms, and Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, or CKAD.
