Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, React Native, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS services, Redis, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs, including debugging, performance improvements, code reviews, documentation, and automated testing.
- Design, automate, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and manage builds, deployments, releases, rollbacks, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Provision and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform, including networking, security groups, load balancers, and other infrastructure components.
- Support SRE-related operations such as observability, monitoring, scalability, cost optimization, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Participate in architecture and technical solutioning discussions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product managers, QA, and security teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience and at least 2 years of relevant DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and React or React Native.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including Lambda, ECS or EKS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFront.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and AWS SQS or SNS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or similar tools, Terraform, Docker, cloud networking, firewalls, load balancers, web servers, and application servers.
- Experience writing automated tests and integrating testing into delivery pipelines.
- Preferred qualifications include NestJS or other Node.js frameworks, microservices and distributed-systems design, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and government or enterprise-scale project experience.
