Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of application development, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Design and implement scalable software solutions using enterprise architecture, engineering standards, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architecture teams, and infrastructure teams to align implementations with business requirements.
- Develop unit and integration tests, support releases and deployments, and produce technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and production incidents while maintaining application stability and performance.
- Implement application enhancements and process improvements to increase functionality, performance, and maintainability.
- Conduct peer code reviews, mentor team members, and promote application quality and reliability.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the financial-services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in applications development.
- Experience with requirements analysis, solution design, impact assessment, effort estimation, system analysis, and software application programming.
- Experience with Java, J2EE, Angular, and microservices programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Knowledge of cards and banking, including customer demographics, CASA, loans, term deposits, debit cards, payments, transfers, money movements, and workflow or case-management systems.
- Ability to prototype solutions quickly and demonstrate them to business stakeholders during requirements gathering.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Devin and Copilot.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
