Responsibilities
- Define configuration management processes for embedded software lifecycle data and records in compliance with DO-178C and applicable industry standards.
- Train and guide users on software lifecycle data and configuration management best practices.
- Coordinate and track changes, conduct releases, establish baselines, and manage configuration documentation for airborne software, software tools, and test equipment software.
- Chair the Software Change Control Board and ensure changes are documented, authorized, and reviewed.
- Ensure correct software loading for production and compatibility with aircraft systems.
- Support quality management procedures, quality records management, audit checklists, configuration indexes, and software lifecycle systems.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of embedded software development processes and familiarity with DO-178C, SAE AS9100D, and SAE AS9115A.
- At least 5 years of experience in aerospace or another government-regulated design and manufacturing industry, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science with 2 years of relevant aerospace or regulated-industry experience.
- Experience managing requirements, test, code, baselines, and changes in PLM or ALM applications such as Polarion, DOORS, JAMA, or JIRA.
- Experience with version control software including Subversion, Git, and GitLab.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and safety and quality focus.
- Preferred qualifications include root-cause and corrective-action investigation experience and Polarion scripting and automation using workflow functions, Apache Velocity, Live Report widgets, and form extensions.

- 45–50 hours per week with a minimum one-year assignment and possible extension.
- Compensation is listed at $100,000–$150,000 USD.
