Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand critical problems and design and implement data-driven solutions
- Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision
- Discuss architecture with engineers and wrangle massive-scale data
- Code custom web applications and develop solutions using new technologies and languages
- Speak with customer executives and establish strategy for the team
- Collaborate with other Forward Deployed Software Engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, and customers, often on site
Requirements
- Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance
- Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics
- Strong coding ability with proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, work independently, learn continuously, and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Willingness and interest to travel as needed
- Experience with logistics, materiel, sustainment, aviation, or readiness analysis is a plus
