Base Salary
$117k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable distributed software applications.
- Build highly available, high-throughput RESTful and GraphQL web services for large-scale product data.
- Build real-time streaming data pipelines and fault-tolerant systems for real-time reporting and analytics.
- Improve application performance using concurrency, multithreading, multi-tier and distributed caching, and asynchronous I/O.
- Develop robust, multi-tenant, highly performant applications.
- Write software code and configurations for multiple environments and release-management processes.
- Create and maintain environment configurations, controls, and code integrity while working with the platform team.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area; or a bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of these areas plus two years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience building scalable backend web services.
- Experience with NoSQL data stores including Cassandra, MongoDB, and Hive.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Python and Java.
- Experience using design patterns and messaging and streaming technologies.
- Experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
- Experience with client-server architecture, unit testing, integration testing, and designing and testing relational database management systems.
