Base Salary
$168k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Architect and implement secure systems, applications, infrastructure, controls, monitoring, and response mechanisms.
- Identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats and develop mitigation strategies and incident response plans.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Lead investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis for security breaches.
- Mentor junior security engineers and promote security awareness across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT, development, operations, and other cross-functional teams and communicate security risks to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 8–10+ years of experience in security engineering and designing and implementing security solutions.
- Deep expertise in firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with cloud security, network security, application security, and identity and access management.
- Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and related security frameworks, standards, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
