Base Salary

$140k - $151k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product teams during planning, grooming, design sessions, and security discussions.
  • Develop threat models and risk registers, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support accurate risk prioritization.
  • Review application code and security design documentation, identify security issues, and support vulnerability remediation.
  • Apply security policies, audit requirements, and GRC standards to support compliance activities.
  • Operate and monitor assigned security tooling across cloud environments and support security control integration into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to security training, secure coding practices, security champion activities, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Track security metrics and product security posture, manage assigned work, and serve as an on-call first responder for owned security tooling.
  • Support the Information Security team during incident response.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in product security, application security, cloud security, or software engineering with security responsibilities.
  • Deep application security knowledge, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerability classes, secure coding practices, and security testing.
  • Experience securing AWS services, AWS architectures, cloud applications, software supply chains, and microservice architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27002, PCI, and PII requirements and the ability to apply them with guidance.
  • Experience reading and reviewing code; JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python proficiency is a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, documentation, collaboration, and willingness to develop security expertise.
  • Ability to travel two to three times per year to College Board offices in New York or Reston, Virginia.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
