Base Salary
$120k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in security design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing for Microsoft services.
- Build reusable agents and tools to improve the consistency and efficiency of security reviews.
- Review deployments and code for security defects and architectural risks using automated tools.
- Demonstrate the real-world impact of security flaws to support prioritization and fix validation.
- Serve as the security contact for teams building new Windows products and services.
- Identify attack vectors, bypass security controls, and develop scalable security protections.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and communicate the value of security investments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in security or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in one of these areas and 6+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: 2+ years identifying vulnerabilities in online services and deployment misconfigurations.
- Preferred: 5+ years of software engineering or security-related engineering experience.
- Preferred: public track record of relevant security research, especially vulnerability discovery.
