Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex systems and experiences for privacy, compliance, account access, KYC, risk scoring, login and recovery, and fraud prevention.
- Build scalable, reliable, high-performance full-stack web applications that protect customers and support regulatory obligations.
- Scope, build, and lead technical projects and delivery teams from discovery through release.
- Guide the team’s full-stack development practices and collaborate with senior engineering leaders on technology direction.
- Balance user experience, business goals, risk controls, and software quality while making technical decisions and building consensus.
- Mentor teammates through feedback, pairing, and professional development.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating systems for fraud detection, prevention, or risk mitigation in high-trust environments.
- Experience building reliable, auditable customer-facing and internal tools with thoughtful risk management.
- Exposure to identity, access, privacy, compliance, financial workflows, or other trust-critical user experiences.
- Track record of balancing user experience, business goals, and control frameworks in scalable full-stack systems.
- Recent experience scoping, building, and leading technical projects and the teams delivering them from discovery through release.
- Experience with at least one server-side language: Ruby, Java, C#, C++, or Python.
- Experience building interactive web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.
- Strong understanding of technical design, architecture, and complexity in web applications.
- Experience gathering input, building consensus, making inclusive technical decisions, and communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Commitment to mentoring and upskilling teammates through feedback and pairing.
- Passion for software engineering, pragmatic delivery, automated testing, quality, and working in a startup environment.
