Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, site reliability, program management, and business teams to define engineering specifications, acceptance criteria, and testability requirements.
- Create test plans, test cases, automation strategies, and execution standards for complex full-stack PLM workflows.
- Own and maintain a reusable, data-driven TypeScript UI and API automation framework using Playwright Test.
- Automate testing of asynchronous, event-driven, distributed, and eventually consistent systems, including queues, streams, workflows, scheduled jobs, and batch pipelines.
- Build service virtualization, mocking, repeatable PLM test-data fixtures, and automated setup and teardown processes.
- Integrate test suites into Jenkins and Rio CI/CD pipelines and maintain isolated test environments, reporting, traceability, and failure triage.
- Design and execute performance, load, soak, resilience, accessibility, cross-browser, cross-platform, security, and access-control testing.
- Identify defects, support root-cause analysis, track quality metrics, and convert escaped defects into durable automated tests.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or software engineering.
- Experience developing test plans and automation strategies for complex full-stack applications.
- Experience testing browser-based applications across platforms with Playwright using TypeScript, Selenium, or an equivalent tool.
- Experience testing and automating enterprise applications such as Siemens Teamcenter or an equivalent PLM system.
- Hands-on experience testing asynchronous and distributed systems.
- Strong TypeScript programming skills, including typed interfaces, generics, async/await, clean code, code review, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience with API and contract testing involving REST or SOAP, JSON or XML, and JSON Schema validation.
- Working knowledge of SQL for test-data setup and backend verification.
- Experience integrating automated test suites into a CI/CD pipeline.
- Preferred experience includes Playwright Test ecosystem features, Java and Spring/Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Oracle or Postgres, Siemens Teamcenter, PLM migration validation, Kafka, JMS/ActiveMQ, ETL or data-pipeline testing, performance testing, and Allure reporting.
- Strong written and oral English communication skills and a self-motivated, proactive, meticulous working style.
