Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for the R&D team’s reusable assets and solutions.
- Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for the development team.
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and platforms against project requirements and long-term business goals.
- Mentor engineers and the Development Manager on complex technical and architectural challenges.
- Lead design reviews and ensure solutions align with architecture and security standards.
- Collaborate with Product Management on technical feasibility and the R&D roadmap.
- Prototype and spike new technologies and approaches to reduce project risk and drive innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or architect role.
- Expert knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed systems.
- Deep experience designing and building applications with multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, and C#/.NET.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP and with designing cloud-native solutions.
- Ability to create a long-term technical vision and think strategically.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and identity concepts including IAM, OAuth, and SAML.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
