Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale web applications and backend services for Payments Technology.
- Build React-based frontend solutions using micro frontend architecture, reusable components, and responsive UI patterns.
- Develop scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL integrations, and distributed application components.
- Lead responsible adoption and validation of approved AI-assisted software development tools across the engineering team.
- Produce secure, resilient, performant, maintainable production code and contribute to architecture and design artifacts.
- Apply software engineering best practices for automated testing, observability, secure development, and delivery automation.
- Troubleshoot complex frontend, backend, integration, cloud, and production issues, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
- Collaborate across product, architecture, operations, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- 10+ years of applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale, production-grade applications in complex technology environments.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong frontend experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend tooling.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, including coaching engineers on compliant adoption.
- Experience with micro frontend architecture, shared components, application integration patterns, and independently maintainable frontend capabilities.
- Practical experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience with automated testing and quality engineering using tools such as JUnit, Playwright, and React Testing Library.
- Proficiency in debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning across frontend and backend systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience in payments, financial services, or high-volume transaction platforms; familiarity with modern frontend technologies; and exposure to cloud technologies.
