Responsibilities
- Design web application database schemas.
- Develop back-end and front-end web applications, web-based user interfaces, and machine-to-machine services.
- Develop software and unit tests for bug fixes and feature requests.
- Participate in source code merge request reviews.
- Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other team activities.
- Keep work-in-progress tickets up to date.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members across multiple departments.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and progressing toward a tertiary diploma, certificate, or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience developing with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with MVC front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Positive, collaborative team attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for aerospace, space technology, and innovation.
- Node.js experience is preferred.
- Experience with clean code principles, patterns, and practices is preferred.
- Experience with Git or similar source code management tools is preferred.
- Experience with Linux development environments is preferred.
- Experience with Jira or similar issue trackers is preferred.
- Experience with agile scrum methodologies is preferred.
- Previous web development internship or project experience is preferred.
