Responsibilities

  • Design web application database schemas.
  • Develop back-end and front-end web applications, web-based user interfaces, and machine-to-machine services.
  • Develop software and unit tests for bug fixes and feature requests.
  • Participate in source code merge request reviews.
  • Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other team activities.
  • Keep work-in-progress tickets up to date.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members across multiple departments.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and progressing toward a tertiary diploma, certificate, or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Experience developing with TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Experience with MVC front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Positive, collaborative team attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for aerospace, space technology, and innovation.
  • Node.js experience is preferred.
  • Experience with clean code principles, patterns, and practices is preferred.
  • Experience with Git or similar source code management tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux development environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue trackers is preferred.
  • Experience with agile scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Previous web development internship or project experience is preferred.
