Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components.
- Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, orchestration patterns, and backend integrations.
- Define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks, and analyze system failure cases.
- Improve AI system quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on the design, deployment, and improvement of production AI systems.
- Contribute to backend services, APIs, internal tools, and lightweight user interfaces as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027.
- Solid programming skills in Python or Java; backend engineering familiarity is preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data.
- Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and develop working prototypes.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-moving environment.
- Availability for a six-month full-time commitment.
- Personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications, agent systems, automation, or AI-assisted development are beneficial.
- Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, workflow tools, Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms is beneficial.
