Responsibilities
- Design and implement a realistic object-oriented full-stack demonstration application covering frontend, backend, and database components.
- Develop code-review agents, architecture checks, testing standards, and automated quality-gate pipelines.
- Use GitHub Copilot and custom Copilot agents for requirements refinement, specification, coding, review, and documentation.
- Evaluate AI code review agents for complexity, duplication, anti-patterns, missing tests, and the need for manual validation.
- Co-author Copilot instructions, skills, prompt libraries, and agents for frontend, backend/.NET, and quality supply chains.
- Analyze requirements, code, test, and implement solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Create technical and functional documentation and present demonstrations to Avanade stakeholders.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a computer science or related program at a college or university.
- Strong object-oriented programming experience in Java, C#, Python, C++, or another object-oriented language.
- Frontend experience with Angular, React, Vue, or a comparable modern framework.
- Experience building APIs or services; ASP.NET Core experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of software engineering principles including separation of concerns, design patterns, SOLID, DRY, YAGNI, and KISS.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing, testable design, static analysis, coverage thresholds, and automated quality gates.
- Knowledge of SQL databases such as SQL Server or Azure SQL and NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB.
- Git-based development experience involving branches, commits, pull requests, merge strategies, and collaborative code review on GitHub.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation, especially GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or YAML-based pipelines, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Azure is advantageous, but prior cloud experience is not required.
- Interest in GitHub Copilot, coding agents, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted engineering; prior agentic experience is not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment; English, French, and/or Flemish are relevant languages.
