Responsibilities

  • Support customers with product development, board bring-up, software development, and system-level debugging for NXP i.MX processors.
  • Provide technical support across evaluation, design-in, and production phases, including NXP hardware platforms, reference designs, and software deliverables.
  • Develop firmware, applications, demos, drivers, and use-case demonstrators for multimedia, connectivity, and infotainment applications.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and contribute to PCB reference designs and validation-board hardware for new SoCs.
  • Write application notes, white papers, user guides, developer guides, and other product documentation.
  • Review reference manuals and data sheets and contribute to product enhancement and NPI activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of experience with embedded systems-on-chip, especially ARM Cortex architectures, and software debugging tools for processor registers.
  • High proficiency in C programming and embedded software development and debugging experience with one or more of Linux, Android, kernel modules, and device drivers.
  • Technical writing skills for application notes, white papers, user guides, and reference manuals.
  • Familiarity with multimedia and graphics technologies such as OpenGL, 3D graphics, video decode, or GStreamer is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing, SoC design, architecture, validation, and applications teams on design specifications and reference hardware.
