Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end system design, implementation, and product integration for production-grade intelligent agents.
- Design, experiment with, and orchestrate complex agentic workflows, including multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, and advanced RAG pipelines.
- Integrate large models, foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
- Build reusable application layers around AI models with robust error handling, predictability, and seamless user experience integration.
- Optimize latency, cost, token management, context-window efficiency, reliability, and user interaction design.
- Implement responsible AI governance, guardrails, security layers, privacy protections, and evaluation mechanisms for sensitive HR and financial data.
- Benchmark model outputs, define product-aligned evaluation metrics, and assess retrieval quality and agentic behavior.
- Lead engineering workstreams, own the development lifecycle, and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers.
- Deploy highly responsive and scalable systems using cloud computing platforms.
Requirements
- Principal level: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience plus 2+ years building production-grade LLM or agentic systems, or 7+ years in Machine Learning Engineering or AI application development with 3+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
- Senior level: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience plus 1+ year building production-grade LLM or agentic systems, or 5+ years in Machine Learning Engineering or AI application development with 2+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
- Principal level: 3+ years integrating large models and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products; senior level: 2+ years.
- Principal level: 2+ years designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures; senior level: 1+ year.
- Principal level: 6+ years optimizing application performance, including 2+ years addressing modern LLM constraints; senior level: 4+ years, including 1+ year addressing LLM constraints.
- Principal level: 6+ years leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP; senior level: 4+ years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI implementation, governance, guardrails, security, and evaluation for autonomous agents handling sensitive enterprise data.
- Proven technical leadership, ownership of engineering workstreams, mentoring experience, product focus, system-design ability, experimentation skills, and comfort with ambiguity.
Benefits
- Annualized base salary ranges from $228,000 to $342,000 for the primary Atlanta location and from $176,000 to $312,000 for additional US locations.
- May be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or role-specific commission/bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
- Flexible work model requiring at least 50% of time each quarter in the office or in the field, with remote home-office roles also able to gather in company offices.
