Responsibilities
- Design and evolve high-scale data models and sharding patterns.
- Optimize query performance across Postgres and MySQL databases.
- Lead the operation and scaling of AWS Aurora environments.
- Architect and execute zero-downtime schema migrations.
- Standardize database observability and automation through CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with relational databases, including 3+ years with cloud databases like AWS Aurora.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and MySQL stored routines.
- Deep technical knowledge of database internals including MVCC and InnoDB locking mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and infrastructure as code tools.
- Advanced skills in performance diagnostics using tools like EXPLAIN ANALYZE.
