Responsibilities
- Automate repeatable triage activities, including alert enrichment, routing, correlation, and operational workflows.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and visibility across critical trading applications and their dependent platforms.
- Track reliability and availability, identify service degradation, and drive owning teams to resolve operational weaknesses.
- Triage alerts, issues, and escalations; assess impact, urgency, and ownership.
- Declare incidents and act as Incident Commander, coordinating responders and stakeholders through mitigation and recovery.
- Maintain incident timelines, actions, status updates, runbooks, escalation paths, and global handoffs.
- Support post-incident review follow-up and recurring issue analysis.
Requirements
- Experience in production operations, SRE, NOC or command-center work, trading operations, or a similar first-line technical role.
- Experience running or coordinating major incidents and taking command of calls involving senior stakeholders.
- Strong triage, prioritization, judgment, escalation discipline, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid Linux and networking fundamentals with the ability to interpret alerts, logs, dashboards, and symptoms.
- Working knowledge of operational tasks across application support, infrastructure, connectivity, and data teams.
- Familiarity with PagerDuty or equivalent, Jira Service Management or equivalent, Grafana, Prometheus, and log search.
- Scripting and automation ability, preferably in Python; Bash and Go are a plus.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP is a plus.
