Base Salary
$130k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement video processing and computer vision algorithms such as depth estimation, optical flow, super-resolution, denoising, 3D reconstruction, visual odometry, and SLAM.
- Develop optimized deep learning model architectures and training strategies for efficient edge deployment.
- Profile and optimize algorithms and models for memory, compute, power, and bandwidth constraints on mobile and embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver algorithms meeting system requirements.
- Develop supervised and non-reference quality metrics for different computer vision use cases.
- Own the training, development, and release of models for major customer segments.
- Write technical documentation, design specifications, and feature descriptions for internal teams and external partners.
- Propose new ideas and intellectual property, contribute to technical publications or patents, and influence system-level architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant engineering experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field.
- Strong background in computer vision and video processing algorithms, with 3+ years of preferred experience developing system-level computer vision or video products.
- Hands-on experience with modern deep learning architectures and strong Python coding skills; C/C++ experience is a plus.
- Experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, and OpenCV for production-quality development, optimization, and on-device deployment.
- Experience deploying AI algorithms on edge platforms such as ExecuTorch, Jetpack, and QNN, with an understanding of power, memory bandwidth, and other resource tradeoffs.
- Three or more years of experience working in a large, matrixed organization is preferred.
- Ability to work across algorithm, software, and hardware boundaries and operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with publications, patents, or external technical contributions is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and productivity tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT.
