Base Salary
$130k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement video processing and computer vision algorithms including depth estimation, optical flow, super-resolution, denoising, 3D reconstruction, visual odometry, and SLAM.
- Develop optimized model architectures and training strategies for deep learning deployment at the edge.
- Profile and optimize algorithms and models for memory, compute, power, and bandwidth constraints on mobile and embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, product, customers, and partners to meet requirements and assess model performance with supervised and non-reference quality metrics.
- Own the training, development, and release of models for major customer segments.
- Create technical documentation, design specifications, and feature descriptions.
- Propose and defend new ideas, present results, and contribute to research, patents, publications, or other external technical work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2+ years of software, hardware, systems, or related engineering experience; or a relevant master's degree and 1+ year of experience; or a relevant PhD.
- Strong background in computer vision and video processing algorithms, preferably with 3+ years developing and implementing them in system-level products.
- Hands-on experience with modern deep learning architectures and strong Python coding skills; C/C++ experience is a plus.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, OpenCV, and production-quality optimization or on-device deployment.
- Experience deploying AI algorithms on the edge using technologies such as ExecuTorch, Jetpack, and QNN, with awareness of power, memory bandwidth, and other resource tradeoffs.
- 3+ years of experience working in a large, matrixed organization is preferred.
- Ability to work across algorithm, software, and hardware boundaries and operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication, planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and research and development skills.
