Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap for CDN, content delivery and edge computing services.
  • Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable CDN and edge compute solutions across software, networking, cloud and distributed infrastructure.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, market trends and business opportunities involving content distribution, edge computing and AI at the network edge.
  • Develop technical propositions and business cases, assess build-buy-partner options, and support negotiations, bids, RFPs and go-to-market activities.
  • Influence senior and executive stakeholders across engineering, commercial, research and partner organisations.
  • Establish architectural standards, design patterns and best practices for the CDN and edge computing domain.
  • Mentor and coach architects, engineers and designers and promote technical capability growth.
  • Drive platform and operating-model evolution through automation, agile delivery practices and modern engineering approaches.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of CDN technologies, content distribution architectures and edge computing platforms.
  • Significant experience in media, broadcast, telecommunications, content delivery, hyperscale or service-provider environments.
  • A proven record of defining technology strategy, product direction and multi-year roadmaps for large-scale customer-facing services.
  • Strong solution architecture experience designing and delivering complex end-to-end solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of IP networking, cloud platforms, software engineering, broadband, mobile and content distribution technologies.
  • Experience evaluating build, buy and partner approaches and supporting business cases, supplier engagement, RFPs and strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to translate technical and market insights into innovative, commercially viable products and services.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills through senior leadership and executive levels.
  • Experience with agile delivery and modern product development environments.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning workloads at the network edge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of television distribution, multicast, gaming delivery and cloud-native platforms is desirable.
  • Experience combining solution architecture, product strategy and technical product ownership is desirable.
  • Product management or Product Owner certification is desirable.
