Responsibilities
- Lead multi-skilled teams across engineering, testing, consulting, product management, and security to design and deliver high-quality public-cloud solutions.
- Work with customer architects and colleagues to design, automate, build, and support modern digital service platforms.
- Own architecture decisions, effort estimation, non-functional requirements, production delivery outcomes, and technical delivery challenges.
- Champion DevOps, cloud-native approaches, continuous delivery, automation, and responsible AI-augmented working practices.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, advise on technology choices, and contribute to technology strategy and business cases.
- Develop business within customer accounts and help identify, qualify, and win new opportunities.
- Manage, coach, and develop senior staff, including supporting performance and career development.
- Share technology perspectives internally and externally and evolve delivery, operating-model, platform, and developer-experience practices.
Requirements
- Significant expertise using multiple public-cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, across varied problem domains.
- Demonstrated experience with whole-solution architecture, modern digital service platforms, production environments, and continuous delivery techniques.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and with cloud-native tooling and approaches.
- Proven team leadership, including managing, coaching, and developing senior team members.
- Experience making decisions in fast-moving delivery environments and owning outcomes across technology delivery challenges.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI to improve outcomes, ways of working, and complex business or delivery challenges.
- Experience developing business cases for public-cloud adoption and proactively developing business within accounts.
- Experience translating experimentation into sustainable improvements and adapting practices as technology capabilities evolve.
- Desirable: a third-level or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
- Desirable: certification from a public-cloud provider such as AWS or Azure, and certification from a professional body such as CNCF.
- Experience with automation tooling and proficiency in one of PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Groovy.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, time-management, and technical leadership skills.
