Responsibilities
- Build and deliver scalable solutions for multiple business units on a Scrum team.
- Design, implement, and support backend services, runtime platforms, applications, and conversational user experiences.
- Develop reliable operational practices including monitoring, alerting, incident response, automation, and reliability engineering.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs and versioned, documented OpenAPI/Swagger service contracts.
- Operationalize GenAI solutions with attention to reliability, safety, cost, performance, observability, and repeatability.
- Collaborate with data science, product, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews and design discussions and share knowledge with peers.
Requirements
- Senior-level full software development and delivery lifecycle experience from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python for scalable, maintainable backend services.
- Experience building enterprise conversational and interactive UI components using React or Vue.
- Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or ElastiCache, including data modeling and performance optimization.
- Grounding in DevOps/SRE practices, monitoring, alerting, incident response, reliability engineering, and production operations.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, applying service-oriented architecture, and using object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and structured JSON-based service contracts, including versioning and documentation.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cloud-native services, deployment pipelines, and distributed architectures.
- Working knowledge of LLM concepts, RAG fundamentals, embedding-based search, model evaluation, responsible AI, GenAI operational concerns, and LLM observability.
- An undergraduate degree such as a BS or BA, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant cloud, DevOps/SRE, or AI/ML certifications are a plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies, synthesize business needs, collaborate across organizations, communicate effectively, and work in a polyglot development environment.
