Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internet-facing Node.js and Java/JEE web applications and complete product features from concept through deployment.
- Develop front-end solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, Angular, and React.
- Design and develop APIs and applications using cloud, serverless, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Participate in iteration planning, requirements analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, and application maintenance.
- Complete code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing effectively.
- Resolve technical roadblocks across multiple technologies and coordinate technical delivery across internal and external teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, mathematics, or physics, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience building applications with Node.js, NPM, and Express.
- Experience with modern single-page application and user-experience frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Experience with automation tools or frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright.
- Advanced Git skills and experience with branching strategies.
- Experience building and deploying applications to AWS or Azure and with serverless development.
- Experience with API design and development, HTTP-based APIs, networking, and internet fundamentals.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts including Promises, Observers, and Event Loops.
- Exposure to Swift or Kotlin for native iOS or Android development is preferred.
- Experience or understanding of BPM, process modeling, visual design, and rapid prototyping is preferred.
