Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable applications using Django and Vue.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and improve engineering practices.
- Mentor other engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in software engineering principles, design patterns, and modern development practices.
- Strong experience developing backend applications with Python, scalable services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience developing frontend applications with Vue.js and modern JavaScript.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience integrating internal and third-party APIs.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing, test-driven development, code reviews, software documentation, and reviewing other engineers’ work.
- Experience in payments, FinTech, or other high-volume transactional environments is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
