Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, performant backend architecture for the Ad Cloud Platform.
- Own and drive the technical roadmap for sizable projects or services.
- Develop complex business features in collaboration with product management, QA, and frontend engineers.
- Design network APIs, message-queue-based data pipelines, distributed systems, and database scaling strategies.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting for backend services.
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate high-performance collaboration across teams.
- Promote backend architecture upgrades and improve development processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend software development experience, particularly with high-performance and high-concurrency systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with Python preferred.
- Strong system design and architecture experience for scalable and distributed systems in Linux environments.
- Understanding of network API design, message queues, and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including database optimization and scaling strategies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience developing complex business features with product management, QA, and frontend engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience promoting backend architecture upgrades or improving development processes.
