Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed machine learning systems and large-scale software solutions.
- Build scalable ingestion pipelines for multimodal content including PDF, audio, video, and tables.
- Optimize retrieval algorithms, system performance, and processing of millions of documents.
- Drive system architecture, technical strategy, road maps, and engineering best practices.
- Review system metrics, performance dashboards, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, partner teams, and customers-facing engineering stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
