Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own edge capture devices from board bring-up and on-device software through fieldable physical form factors.
- Perform embedded Linux flashing, kernel and device tree configuration, camera enablement, and driver troubleshooting.
- Build capture pipelines for synchronized video, audio, sensor telemetry, local buffering, and store-and-forward delivery.
- Integrate and synchronize depth cameras, stereo cameras, inertial measurement units, and positioning receivers.
- Convert development kits and commercial off-the-shelf components into fieldable units while addressing enclosure, mounting, power, and thermal constraints.
- Produce bills of materials, assembly instructions, and test procedures.
- Present design tradeoffs and test results to engineering, leadership, and customer audiences.
Requirements
- Five years of hands-on C, C++, and Python development on resource-constrained devices.
- Strong embedded Linux experience on ARM-based systems-on-chip, including NVIDIA Jetson, device trees, and CSI camera enablement.
- Expertise with video capture and encoding pipelines using GStreamer, V4L2, hardware-accelerated H.264/H.265, and RTSP or WebRTC.
- Experience integrating and synchronizing IMUs and GNSS receivers, including calibration and timestamp alignment.
- Experience delivering media and telemetry to cloud services using object storage, resumable or chunked uploads, and retry behavior for unreliable connectivity.
- Demonstrated experience integrating development kits and commercial off-the-shelf components into devices deployed in the field.
- Working knowledge of power budgeting, battery systems, and thermal management in compact devices.
- Ability to work with limited direction in an evolving innovation environment.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting designs and test results for engineering and customer audiences.
