Responsibilities
- Discover customer problems and frame AI-driven solutions.
- Design and implement end-to-end cloud architectures and production applications on SAP BTP.
- Build AI, LLM, RAG, hybrid retrieval, and agentic features and integrate ML services.
- Prepare GenAI-compatible datasets, manage vector embeddings, and use Databricks Vector Search and Feature Store.
- Package and deploy Databricks pipelines through GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot, tune, and optimize jobs using Photon and serverless compute for cost efficiency and SLA reliability.
- Collaborate with customer teams, product, UX, data, and architecture stakeholders.
- Apply performance optimization, data modeling, data warehousing, quality, security, and observability practices.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of Data Engineering or Machine Learning experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Experience building cloud, enterprise, or SaaS software and delivering multi-tenant, cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and MCP.
- Strong Python and ML-stack experience, including REST/gRPC integration and vector databases.
- Experience with SAP BTP, HANA, Databricks, or similar data pipelines.
- Understanding of data engineering services, data storage, processing, warehousing, real-time streaming, serverless computing, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Preferred qualifications include data engineering certification, machine learning knowledge, big-data processing with Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka, Apache Airflow, cloud DevOps practices, ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion, or Fivetran, and dbt familiarity.
