Responsibilities
- Collaborate on software architecture, design, development, maintenance, testing, and operations for Java integration API services.
- Develop secure, highly performant integration services, APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven microservices.
- Use Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS to build and operate application services.
- Translate product and technology requirements into executable technical solutions and deliver clean, maintainable code.
- Investigate production issues from the user interface through the service layer and implement preventative improvements.
- Create reference implementations, define engineering best practices, mentor junior staff, and provide technical leadership.
- Collaborate with technical teams, product leaders, vendors, and geographically distributed teams to deliver quality software.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with integration tools and technologies and software using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, workflow orchestration, decision rules, API gateways, service meshes, and event-driven and API-based microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, cloud architecture, GitLab, and CI/CD.
- Strong knowledge of integration architectures, tools, techniques, platforms, and best practices.
- Experience designing and building multithreaded, distributed, scalable, secure, performant, and usable web applications using Java or Java EE.
- Experience leading teams across multiple locations and vendors.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, integration application or platform experience, vendor collaboration experience, and knowledge of performance testing and application profiling with Gatling or JProfiler.
