Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for AI/ML and generative AI systems across data, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Create secure reference architectures for RAG, model gateways, and tool or agent execution using least privilege, data minimization, and isolation.
- Perform AI/ML threat modeling and map risks to OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF.
- Integrate security into MLOps/MLSecOps pipelines, including model registry protections, artifact signing, provenance, access control, dependency scanning, secrets management, and CI/CD guardrails.
- Harden training and inference environments through cloud IAM, network segmentation, key management, and container security.
- Build and execute AI security test plans, adversarial evaluations, automated test harnesses, and regression suites.
- Define AI telemetry and integrate security signals into SIEM/SOC workflows with detection logic and response playbooks.
- Support AI governance, privacy, regulatory alignment, third-party model/vendor risk, and data-use reviews.
- Provide security guidance, training, documentation, executive reporting, and cross-functional enablement.
- Establish an ongoing AI security operating rhythm, maturation roadmap, and remediation process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in security engineering, application/product security, cloud security, or DevSecOps.
- At least 2 years of experience building or securing production AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML threats and defenses, including prompt injection, data poisoning, model extraction, model inversion, adversarial inputs, data leakage, and abuse or misuse.
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD and MLOps pipelines and working with containerization and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Preferred familiarity with OWASP GenAI guidance or Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, and/or NIST AI RMF.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, Azure Security certifications, or relevant GIAC certifications.
- Strong communication, planning, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, and risk-prioritization skills.
