Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for the Orbit web platform and embedded robotic systems.
- Create end-to-end automated tests covering web workflows, robot actuation, navigation, perception, autonomy, and payload operations.
- Implement Hardware-in-the-Loop testing to validate robotic performance, stability, environmental perception, and autonomy.
- Develop test plans and strategies across browsers, web APIs, robotic hardware variants, and complex autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with web, embedded software, and hardware teams to identify architecture and testability requirements.
- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using system logs, web traffic, and telemetry.
- Integrate automated web and system tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in automated software testing for web applications and complex electromechanical or robotics systems.
- Expertise in web automation, ideally with Playwright.
- Strong Python proficiency for system test development and test framework integration, such as pytest.
- Familiarity with C++ and/or TypeScript or JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop automation and testing physical robotics or embedded platforms.
- Ability to analyze end-to-end interactions across web applications, REST APIs, network connectivity, and robotic control systems.
- Experience with version control, build systems, and CI/CD toolchains such as Git, GitHub, BuildKite, or Jenkins.
- Experience with React.js, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, Jira, TestRail, simulation, field testing, or hardware stress testing is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for hands-on work with robotic hardware.
