Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end features in Go, React, and TypeScript across CircleCI products.
- Set technical direction, lead design discussions, write architectural decision records, and make complex technical decisions.
- Define new interfaces and patterns for autonomous pipelines, generated fixes, and human judgment workflows.
- Own reliability, responsiveness, and overall product outcomes across the full stack.
- Use Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar to monitor and improve system stability.
- Identify and close technical and team-process gaps.
- Mentor engineers and raise the quality bar through reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production full-stack experience.
- Strong React and TypeScript experience.
- Backend experience in Go, including API design, data modeling, and service integration.
- Experience leading architectural decisions on complex systems and documenting technical tradeoffs.
- A track record of building and shipping software to users.
- Experience using AI tools daily and understanding their strengths and limitations.
- Technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, giving direct feedback, and raising quality standards through code reviews and design discussions.
